Job SummaryThis role requires continuous improvement of quality and safety in all aspects of the position. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Medical Office Assistant provides administrative day-to-day support to the clinic, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all individuals.
The successful candidate will perform various tasks, including:
- Coordinating internal and external communication
- Answering phone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Maintaining bulletin boards, calendars, and staff schedules
- Providing reception services, such as registering new patients and booking appointments
- Facilitating facility support, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and families
- Secondary education and a Medical Office Assistant diploma, plus one year of recent related office/clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience working with diverse cultural and lifestyle backgrounds
- Office management principles, methods, and procedures; records retention policies and schedules
