About the Role
The University of Toronto is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a tenure stream appointment in biostatistics. This position is part of the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education and will be appointed at the rank of Associate Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to lead innovative and independent research, develop an outstanding, original, and externally funded research programme, and contribute to undergraduate and graduate kinesiology program teaching and student mentorship. They will also be responsible for pursuing opportunities for kinesiology students to conduct research in associated areas of scholarship.

Requirements
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistical sciences, kinesiology, or a related health-focused field with a strong emphasis on biostatistics. They must demonstrate a clearly established international reputation and a record of excellence in research and teaching. Evidence of ongoing excellent research productivity and research excellence will be demonstrated through a record of publications in top-ranked and field-relevant journals meeting high international standards, presentations at significant conferences, external research funding, distinguished awards, and accolades.
