Job Title: Mission Assurance Director

Telesat is seeking a seasoned Mission Assurance Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our Telesat Lightspeed program.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Mission Assurance strategy to ensure the success of the Telesat Lightspeed program.
  • Lead a team of Mission Assurance professionals to provide expertise and guidance on quality and assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Develop and maintain a system for managing processes critical to Mission Success, including program quality processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on quality and assurance processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering Management preferred.
  • At least 15 years of experience in engineering development, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role with Mission Assurance experience.
  • Expertise in failure and anomaly investigation, corrective action, preventive action, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate team members.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time office position, with occasional travel, including international travel.
  • Must be able to obtain Reliability security clearance.
