Job Title: Full Time Jr. High Educational Assistant

Glenmore Christian Academy (GCA) is a private Alberta accredited Christian school located in the Southwest of Calgary, Alberta, specializing in the education of children in grades K-9. Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Full Time Jr. High Educational Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Resource Support Teacher and Jr. High Principal to provide individualized support to students in grades 6-9.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with individualized learning needs
  • Collaborate with the resource team to ensure student needs are met
  • Assist students in activities promoting physical, mental, and social development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff as a member of a professional learning community
  • Supervise and manage a classroom of students during breaks

Requirements:

  • A vibrant Christian faith, demonstrating the leadership of Jesus Christ
  • Ability to make Biblical values an integral part of school life
  • Fluent in English
  • At least two years of experience working with students with individualized learning needs (preferred)
  • Early Childhood Certificate, Educational Assistant Certificate, or Bachelor of Education (preferred)
