Food Service Supervisor

Hakka Chinese Kitchen Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of 3-4 staff members who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Food Preparation and Service
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Customer Service
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports to management as required.
- Work Environment
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high pressure.
- Stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Personal Qualities
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Efficient interpersonal skills.
- Client-focused and flexible.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
Work 35 to 40 hours per week in a restaurant environment.
