We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at our Edmonton Distribution Centre. As a key member of our Lumber Yard team, you will work closely with our Operations Supervisor to ensure the efficient and accurate assembly of customer orders, provide excellent service to customers in the yard, and maintain the presentation and organization of warehouse materials.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and unloading of building materials in a safe and timely manner
- Assisting in loading orders onto customer trucks
- Conducting periodic inventory counts (quarterly) and spot checks
- Maintaining a tidy and organized lumber yard and warehouse
- Compliance with all work safety rules and regulations
- Providing excellent customer service to customers and truck drivers
- Loading and unloading building materials using a forklift
- Preparing, picking, and packing customer orders as required
- High School Diploma
- Forklift Certificate
- Minimum of two years lumber yard forklift experience
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Knowledge of the building materials industry is an asset
- Able to work in outdoor conditions
- Flexibility with start and finish times
- Reliable and punctual
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
