About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Barrie Special Care Home Ltd. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents and staff
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, including washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, and disposing of waste
  • Restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed
  • Participate in food preparation and presentation, including plating and garnishing dishes
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective service
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
