Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Registered Nurse in our Oncology Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional cancer services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to Oncology patients, including assessment, intervention, symptom management, treatment coordination, and education.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as required, and monitor patient reactions to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including health history, nursing assessments, and care evaluations.
- Admit, transfer, or discharge patients according to BC Cancer policies and Centre directives.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to apply it in practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action, In Plain Sight Report, and other related reports.
