Global Mainframe Systems Support Expert

As a key member of our global team, we are seeking an experienced z/OS Systems Programmer to join us on a 12-month renewable contract basis. This exciting opportunity will allow you to work with a large global infrastructure client, providing top-notch technical support and expertise in the mainframe environment.
About the Role:
This role requires the ability to provide services in complex network/systems environments, interacting with customers, vendors, and management to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. As the primary point of contact for z/OS Operating Systems Q&A, you will engage in identifying and resolving complex problems related to product/service installation, update, configuration, operations, performance, or other aspects of information technology products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert-level support for z/OS systems, including installation, maintenance, and problem determination
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance
• Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of technical solutions and management tools
• Engage in troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues
• Participate in Disaster Recovery tests and On-call rotation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong experience with z/OS systems, including SMP/E, ACF2, IO Gen, and assembler coding skills
• Proficiency in BMC & IBM Scheduler software, TSO, ISPF, HCD, and JES2/JES3
• In-depth knowledge of DFSMS from an MVS system programmer perspective
• Excellent written and spoken French and English language skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team environment
Salary and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $100-$120 per hour, plus C2C benefits, depending on overall experience. The contract is renewable for up to 12 months, with possible extensions or potential transition into a permanent role. Remote work arrangement is available, with occasional travel to client sites may be required. Please note that the salary range may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.
