We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Construction and Energy team at AXA XL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and structuring tailored solutions for our clients, while also working closely with our risk engineers and actuaries to ensure accurate risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies to ensure effective risk management
- Review and analyze submissions, terms and conditions, and loss history to determine the degree of risk for each account
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including actuarial, claims, and reinsurance teams, to ensure seamless risk management
- Develop and modify policy wording to ensure accurate risk assessments
- Market and promote our Construction and Energy products to producers and clients
- Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced colleagues
- Extensive experience in Construction Property and Operational Energy underwriting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and technologies
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with advanced education and professional designations a plus
