Retail Store Operations Manager

Dollarama L.P. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Operations Manager to oversee the daily retail store operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals. The successful candidate will provide support to the Store Manager in managing staff, executing daily operational tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
About the Role
The Retail Store Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in daily operations and staff management. This includes helping with store merchandizing, shelf stocking and boxing, and unboxing daily shipments. The ideal candidate will also provide exceptional customer service, resolve escalated issues, and train, coach, and develop employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and staff management
- Help with store merchandizing, shelf stocking, and boxing/unboxing daily shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues
- Train, coach, and develop employees
- Perform cash management, store opening, and closing duties as needed
- Assign tasks to the team
- Ensure store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained
What You Need to Succeed
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the retail industry
- At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role
- Open availability required (day, evening, weekend)
- Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities
- Good leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume environment
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is between $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional pay includes bonus pay, overtime pay, and benefits such as casual dress, employee assistance program, extended health care, flexible schedule, and RRSP match. French language proficiency is not required. Schedule includes Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
