Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Pita Pit. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, optimizing kitchen operations and reducing costs.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, informing kitchen operations and decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit reports, tracking kitchen performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service or kitchen management role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
