Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Superintendent to join our team at PCL Constructors. Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, direct, and mentor a team of construction professionals to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the highest quality standards, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Safety Management: Develop and implement safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  • Client Relations: Liaise with clients to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring that their requirements are met throughout the project.
  • Contract Administration: Review and understand contracts, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure that all financial targets are achieved.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that value engineering opportunities are identified and implemented.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and internal teams, to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned.
Requirements
  • Education: Journeyman certificate or postsecondary diploma/engineering degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience: 15 years of progressive experience in field supervision, with a strong background in construction management.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of construction professionals.
  • Certifications: NCSO designation (IND) and Gold Seal certification required (CDN), certificate in negotiation or equivalent experience.
