Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Railcar Loader to join our team at SGS Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for loading and unloading railcars in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Match loading schedules to bills of lading and ensure accurate documentation
  • Weigh railcars and trucks in accordance with specific load instructions
  • Fill out loading records and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Inspect railcars and trucks for mechanical soundness and defective equipment
  • Connect and disconnect load arms, hoses, and ground straps
  • Load railcars and trucks according to loading instructions and safety protocols
  • Communicate with facility supervisors on any issues or concerns
  • Secure railcars and trucks after loading and unloading
  • Complete paperwork and documentation as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent experience through education
  • Previous experience in a petroleum refinery field is an asset
  • Ability to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
