The University of New Brunswick is seeking a Government Law Advisor to join its team. As a Government Law Advisor, you will provide expert legal advice and guidance to various departments within the university.
Responsibilities:- Provide legal advice and guidance to various departments within the university.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to government law.
- Represent the university in legal matters and negotiations.
You will be responsible for coordinating activities within the court environment prior to the arrival of the judge or prothonotary; recording minutes of hearings; and serving as Court Registrar / Court Technician at sittings of the Courts.
Requirements:- A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
- Experience working in a legal environment such as a Board, Commission, Tribunal, Court (Federal, Provincial or Municipal), law firm or equivalent.
- Experience providing front line service to internal or external clients.
- Experience applying acts, regulations or directives.
