Job Title: National Market Strategist

Join ABB, a global leader in the energy sector, as a National Market Strategist. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the industry strategy with the highest growth potential in the COG & Emerging Energy Industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define the industry strategy with the highest growth potential in the COG & Emerging Energy Industries based on a holistic understanding of the market and the players.
  • Lead the implementation of customer account planning, covering the sales and product strategy, and the segment-specific value proposition.
  • Support the ABB Sales Units in reaching the sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts at various hierarchy levels.
  • Collaborate with other divisional sales teams to ensure coverage of distribution and/or serial OEM opportunities related to key project/packaging pursuits within the Energy Sector.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (engineering or technical degree preferred) and 8 years of relevant sales/business experience or 10 years of relevant sales/business experience required.
  • Industry knowledge and experience in the Chemical, Oil and Gas markets essential.
  • Market knowledge in Drives and Motors and related systems is preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, account management, and cross-selling strategies.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time across Canada.
