Front Desk Representative

Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge Smithers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring that all guest interactions are handled efficiently and professionally.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Registering arriving guests and assigning rooms, including handling any issues or concerns they may have;
• Processing group arrivals and departures, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time;
• Taking, canceling, and changing room reservations, as well as answering any questions guests may have about our facilities and services;
• Providing information on hotel facilities and services, such as local attractions and amenities;
• Maintaining an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring that our system is always up-to-date and accurate;
• FOLLOWING EMERGENCY AND SAFETY PROCEDURES, as outlined in our employee handbook.

You will also be required to perform Clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, as well as Answering telephone calls and relaying messages. In addition, you will be responsible for Contacting customers to deliver requested wake-up calls.

We estimate that the annual salary for this position will be approximately $45,000 - $55,000, depending on experience. This figure takes into account the cost of living in Smithers, BC, as well as industry standards for similar positions.
