The Therapeutic Foster Caregiving Program (TFC) is a unique opportunity for individuals to make a positive impact in the lives of these young people.

As a Therapeutic Foster Parent, you will be part of a professional team that provides 24/7 support and guidance to children and youth in your care.

You will receive specialized training, coaching, and resources to help you develop the skills and confidence to provide therapeutic care and support.

The TFC program offers a competitive daily stipend, paid training, and the opportunity to work collaboratively with Alberta Children's Services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and youth
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Collaborating with the professional team to provide 24/7 support
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements include:

  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
  • A stable income
  • A suitable home environment for 1-2 children/youth
  • Physical and emotional ability to provide full-time care
  • Prior experience working with youth is an asset
