Contract Psychologist Opportunities

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Contract Psychologists to join our team at BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS). As a Contract Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality care and treatment services to adults with mental health disorders who have been in conflict with the law.
About the RoleAs a Contract Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, providing evidence-based and trauma-informed psychological interventions, and testifying as an expert forensic witness in the Courts or the BC Review Board. You will also be part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing consultation to various stakeholders, including other care providers, family members, and community partners.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Practicing clinical registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.
- Minimum One (1) year of direct clinical experience performing diagnostic assessment and treatment of adults in a correctional or forensic mental health setting.
- Commitment to culturally safe, client-centred care.
