Residential Estate Housekeeper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Housekeeper to join our team in a private household setting.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week, offering optional accommodation at no charge on a live-in basis. Room and board will be provided for the successful candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and maintaining the estate's floors, including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing.
  • Vacuuming carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Making beds, changing sheets, and distributing clean towels and toiletries.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Picking up debris and emptying trash containers.
  • Laundering clothing and household linens.
  • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Shopping for food and household supplies.
  • Cleaning changing rooms and showers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $50,000 CAD, based on 30 hours of work per week. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer the opportunity to live on-site with room and board provided.
