As a Welder Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, including operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications, and examining welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Organized and punctual
  • Hardworking and able to work in a physically demanding environment
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a commercial setting, with a physically demanding work environment. The ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) is required.

Language:

The primary language of work is French.

Hours of Work:

The successful candidate will work 32 hours per week.
