Job Description

We are seeking an experienced C# Software Engineer to join our team in DeForest, Wisconsin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing software solutions that improve decision making and accelerate genetic improvement in bovine and porcine genetics. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to understand and address complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines, tools, and applications to support acquisition, access, and analysis of data
- Work under tight timelines to solve critical problems in production
- Collaborate with project managers, product managers, instrument production operations teams & IT to understand and groom requirements for the software

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • University degree in Computational Sciences, Computer Science or one of the STEM majors
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in C#/.net core, MVVM with focus in desktop applications such as WinForm/WPF/AvaloniaUI
  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience with developing responsive applications using asynchronous pattern
  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in Python or GoLang
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with databases SQL
  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in a Linux/Unix and one of the major Cloud platforms: Azure/AWS/ or GCP
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with modern software development techniques, Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with Docker
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with at least one CI/CD tool such as Jenkins/Azure DevOps/TravisCI

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with instrumentation software, biotechnology device industry
  • Experience in data engineering
  • Experience of Kubernetes
