Job Title: Cleaner, Light Duty

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner, Light Duty to join our team at Capital city cleaners. As a Cleaner, Light Duty, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to ensure a clean and dust-free environment.
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Handle and report lost and found items to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Basic security clearance to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Tight deadlines to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Overtime required to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Steel-toed safety boots to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Experience:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Permanent employment to ensure a stable and secure environment.
  • English language proficiency to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
  • 32 to 40 hours per week to maintain a clean and safe environment.
