Job Description

We are seeking a Multi-Axis Machining Expert to join our team at The Wohl Group. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced CNC programming and multi-axis machining systems.

About the Role:

  • This position involves determining machining strategies and generating CNC programs, machining setup sheets, and tool lists for multi-axis machining systems.
  • You will be responsible for developing work-holding strategies and designing fixtures for machining complex geometries.
  • You will also assist the shop floor in adhering to AS91000 requirements and maintain a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Qualifications include a college diploma or engineering degree in a related technical discipline, minimum five years of experience in a precision CNC machining environment, and expert level proficiency in Mastercam software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determining machining strategies and generating CNC programs, machining setup sheets, and tool lists for multi-axis machining systems.
  • Developing work-holding strategies and designing fixtures for machining complex geometries.
  • Assisting the shop floor in adhering to AS91000 requirements and maintaining a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Maintaining expertise in Mastercam software and reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Requirements:

  • College diploma or engineering degree in a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a precision CNC machining environment.
  • Expert level proficiency in Mastercam software.
  • Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing work-holding strategies and fixture design.
