Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Waterloo. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of workload, collaborating with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders, and working collaboratively with our Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of workload
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders
- Work collaboratively with Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities
- Prepare and review billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents
- Enter prescriptions into the computer and retrieve and/or correct data
- Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications
- Pack and ship prescription orders
- Receive and maintain accurate inventory
- Liaise with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options
- Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients, and clinics and provide required updates
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Two or more years of related pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations
- Bilingualism, French/English is an asset
