Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation

Plan and prepare menus that showcase the flavors and ingredients of ethnic cuisine, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.

Cooking and Food Preparation

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, using a range of cooking techniques and ingredients.

Staff Training and Development

Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to prepare and cook high-quality dishes.

Inventory Management

Manage inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet demand.

Cleanliness and Safety

Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards and regulations.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Work Setting

Restaurant environment, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

Physically demanding role, requiring standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks.

Personal Qualities
