We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare. The ideal candidate will possess a strong nursing background and excellent communication skills, providing empathetic care to residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
• Manage medications and narcotics, adhering to established protocols and maintaining accurate records.
• Conduct thorough assessments, identifying resident needs and developing strategies to address them.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families, promoting independence and autonomy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Long Term Care Act and the Health Disciplines Act.
• Medical Clearance, including TB tests and Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
