We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Clerk to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a Financial Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping and general ledger management. You will be required to calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, calculate fixed assets and depreciation, and maintain general ledgers and financial statements.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and accounts payable/receivable;
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll and other expenses;
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate accounting entries;
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders;
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience);
  • 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping and general ledger management;
  • Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel;
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills;
  • Able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
