About the Role:

RhynoCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wound Care Nurse to join our team. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive wound assessments, developing and implementing plans of care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop individualized plans of care to promote wound healing and prevent further complications.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on wound care and management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest wound care research, best practices, and technologies to ensure evidence-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Completed the University of Toronto International Interprofessional Wound Care Course or equivalent.
  • Current membership with Registered Nurses Association of Ontario preferred.
  • Current membership with Wounds Canada.
  • Completed Certification of Wound, Ostomy & Continence through the Canadian Nurses Association (Preferred).
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation and regulations.
