Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Associate to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a Logistics Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and transportation functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Health and Safety: Promote a culture where Health & Safety is the #1 priority.
- Compliance: Operate within the Code of Business Conduct, company policies and procedures, and all statutes and legislation governing the workplace.
- Driver Management: Work with Drivers to ensure Driver hours are not exceeded.
- Transportation Safety: Understand and adhere to all Transportation Safety policies and guidelines.
- Documentation: Ensure all documentation relating to the movement of orders or shipments in or out of the facility is completed accurately and on time.
- Communication: Communicate with Drivers to ensure they are operating in the most safe and effective manner, and are compliant with transportation legislation and company policies and procedures.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate team member and resources involved in the daily pick-up and delivery of freight, including Dispatchers, Drivers, Third Party Carriers and Owner Operators.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure appropriate Driver resource is sent to each call, based on current location, truck size, capacity, schedule, and whether shipment is fresh/frozen.
- Reporting: Provide a daily exceptions report to Supervisor, Dispatch, showing all on time and late departures.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend continuous improvement efforts and identifies cost saving and growth initiatives.
- Experience: 2-3 years' experience working in an FTL & LTL transportation environment in a planning or dispatch role.
- Scheduling or Customer Service Experience: Scheduling or customer service experience.
- Transportation Experience: Experience working with company drivers, owner operators and third party carriers.
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Skills: Excellent customer service abilities with a natural desire to provide exceptional service and build strong relationships with Drivers.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to ensure accuracy, compliance and a team culture of excellence.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Continuous Improvement: Dedicated to continuous improvement and ability to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance results.
