Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join the Short Stay Unit at UBC Hospital in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to acutely ill patients with complex, acute, and often co-existing chronic illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients with complex health needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective care strategies
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Completion of a recognized advanced nursing specialty program in High Acuity Nursing or two years' recent, related experience in a high acuity setting
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family-centered model of care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
