Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Assist in planning menus and estimating food requirements to meet customer demand.
  • Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant, rural area, or fast food outlet/concession.
  • Transportation: Own transportation.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
