The Role of the Linehaul Driver
The Linehaul Driver, Pickup & Delivery plays a critical role in our operations, driving to/from customer locations and safely operating company vehicles to pick up and deliver freight. This position requires working in shifts and meeting service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive to/from customer locations and safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver freight.
- Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch.
- Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations.
- Scan freight upon pickup and delivery.
- Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer).
Requirements
- Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 3 years of Class 1 driving experience.
Working Conditions
This position requires working on the road and meeting service level agreements.
