Job Summary

Blanche River Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, including medication management and treatment plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical and emotional evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
  • Current B.C.L.S. Certificate.
  • Wound Care Certificate, Mental Health Certificate, Physical Assessment Certificate, Central Line and Peripheral Venous Access Certificate an asset.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Working knowledge of computers and keyboarding.
  • Competent clerical skills.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
