Job Summary:

Yukon University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilitator, First Nations Initiatives to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programming initiatives to meet the needs of Yukon's First Nations and the identified core competency requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programming initiatives to meet the needs of Yukon's First Nations
  • Work with the FNI team to integrate a strong understanding of Yukon First Nations throughout the institution
  • Assist in the development of a long-range Program Plan
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Relevant post-secondary education
  • Strong knowledge of Yukon First Nations history
  • Experience in the delivery of adult-educational programming
  • Working in partnership with First Nations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Computer skills (word processing, databases, and spreadsheets)
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Consideration may be given to those with an appropriate combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of reconciliation efforts
