Job Description

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, brain scans, and thyroid treatments. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a current and valid Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, as well as knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine procedures. A strong command of English and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and ensure accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient identification, safety, and preparation procedures are correct before starting nuclear medicine examinations.
  • Monitor supplies and notify supervisor of shortages.
  • Set up and adjust nuclear medicine equipment, maintaining established protocol.
  • Perform radio pharmaceutical preparation and quality management.
Requirements
  • Current and valid Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certificate.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, good command of English language, and excellent communication skills.
