Senior Java Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop complex software components and applications using Java.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to model, simulate, and analyze business requirements.
  3. Implement industry best practices to design, test, and support software solutions.
  4. Ensure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met.
  5. Be flexible and adapt to change quickly in a dynamic environment.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. 10+ years of experience in core Java development (version 8.0 or above).
  2. 8+ years of experience with database development using SQL.
  3. 8+ years of experience with shell scripting in a Unix/Linux environment.
  4. 5+ years of experience with Spring Boot.
  5. 3+ years of experience with front-end GUI development (JavaScript/Angular).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with development using Kafka is an asset.
  • Experience with using Nifi is an asset.
  • Recent Capital Markets Murex experience is a plus and will be prioritized.

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication skills to work with business users, product owners, and project managers.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate across teams and functions.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
