About the Role

Grandview Kids is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Health Information Systems Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the integrity and security of client health records, including timely processing of clinical reports and admissions/discharges.
  • Act as the Centre's System Administrator, responsible for managing user access, system upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports using the report writer, providing insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Centre's Privacy and Health Information Coordinator to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Participate in Centre education, orientation, and public relations, providing training and presentations to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience working with health records and database management.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), Management Information System (MIS), and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care's Ontario Health Care Financial and Statistical System (OHFS).
  • Expert knowledge of privacy standards, ethics, and legislative requirements.
  • CIPP certification or equivalent, with experience working with health records an asset.
