Salary and Benefits

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include preparing surfaces for painting, applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials, and ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in painting and decorating
  • Excellent physical stamina, as the job involves working at heights, lifting heavy equipment, and standing for long periods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, as you will be working with colleagues and clients on-site
  • A valid driver's license, as occasional travel to job sites may be required
Work Environment and Conditions

You will be working outdoors and indoors, in various locations, and will be exposed to different weather conditions. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

As a painter, you will be responsible for operating various painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers. Previous experience with these tools is essential.

Surface Preparation Experience

You will be required to prepare surfaces for painting, which includes taping, patching, and sanding. Drywall taping and patching experience is a plus.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The job requires standing for long periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting heavy equipment. You must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Weight Handling

You will be handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs), so you must be able to lift and move heavy equipment safely.
