Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stockperson/Cart Attendant to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Stockperson/Cart Attendant, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient shopping environment by collecting and returning shopping carts to designated storage areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and return shopping carts from cart corrals, parking lots, and store perimeters to designated storage areas, ensuring a safe and efficient shopping environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer requests, assisting with carry-outs and carry-ins, and verifying receipts for proof of purchase.
  • Perform occasional cleaning and maintenance tasks, including handling chemicals and disposing of waste, while adhering to safety and emergency procedures.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear and reflective vests, to ensure visibility and safety during cart collection.
  • Complete safety sweeps as required to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including shopping carts.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive and safe work culture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse or outdoor environment.
