Position Overview

FortisBC is seeking a highly skilled Renewable Gas Engineer to join our team and contribute to the advancement of our low-carbon projects and initiatives. As a key member of our renewable gas business, you will be responsible for creating strategic business models and frameworks to establish hydrogen in our gas utility business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop in-house technical and economic analysis to support business case proposals.
  • Generate concepts that involve unique applications to support development and investment opportunities.
  • Work with our teams to cultivate business plans for various hydrogen-related projects.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Seven years of recent and relevant experience in an energy sector role.
  • Professional Engineering designation is preferred.
  • Project management courses and certification will be considered an asset.
