Job Title: Nuclear Project Engineer

At Kiewit, we are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing project management duties, including project controls systems, engineering interface, subcontract and materials management, purchasing, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of contract plans and specifications.
  • Inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures.
  • Manage document control, including receiving and logging in new issue drawings and contract documents.
  • Prepare monthly cost projections and quarterly cash flow projections.
  • Improve project operations by recommending better methods, staffing, and procedural changes.
  • Act as managing project engineer/coordinator on multiple projects, providing supervision and on-the-job training for lower-level engineers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and education in project or field engineering.
  • Professional Engineer designation strongly recommended.
  • 7+ years of experience in construction or engineering field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working on Nuclear-related construction projects.
  • Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is required.
  • Proven abilities and skills in leadership and management of people, communication, planning, organization, delegation, teaching, and mentoring.
