A Day in the Life

The Controller position at SKYTRAC involves overseeing general accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports and maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records. This role also includes responsibility for day-to-day finance operations, such as oversight of payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and customer order management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the chart of accounts to support effective reporting and analysis.
  • Issue timely and complete weekly and monthly financial reports and financial statements, including variance analysis and commentary to senior leadership.
  • Calculate and assess financial and operating metrics, working with the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to create insightful dashboards and reporting to equip senior leadership and department heads with relevant KPIs.
  • Assist the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis in the production of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of corporate accounting experience, with 2+ years of post-designation financial leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or similar field.
  • Canadian CPA designation.
  • Experience working in a high transaction volume environment, including the design/development of automated/scalable process to support growth.
  • Familiarity with the structure/operation of ERP platforms and multi-dimensional chart of accounts structures.

What We Offer:

  • An estimated salary range of $100,000 - $125,000 CAD, based on skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications.
