Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Ontario Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet customer demand
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring high-quality service and food preparation
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a safe and healthy work environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring optimal inventory management
  • Hire and manage food service staff, fostering a positive and productive team dynamic
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance, providing valuable insights for business growth
  • Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries, ensuring seamless communication and execution
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational efficiency
Work Environment:

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. You will be standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and walking, making physical demands a significant aspect of this role.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in food service management or a related field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as culinary genres
