MIG Welder Job Description

Please note that we are only considering candidates based in Ontario.

We are seeking a skilled MIG welder to join our team in Milton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding operations on metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG welders, torches, and other hand tools.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a MIG welder.
  • Experience in Aluminum and Automotive Industry.
  • Proficient in MIG welding techniques and able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of welding equipment setup and operation.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Basic machining skills are a plus.
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance of welding equipment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions (standing, bending, kneeling).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate welds.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
