Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Whitehills Trucking Ltd. is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination over long distances, often across multiple provinces or states.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle integrity.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely communication and coordination.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Organized and team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work overtime as required
