Pest Control Specialist
Poulin's Pest Control is seeking a skilled Pest Control Specialist to join our team. As a Pest Control Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation, determining the type of treatment required, and preparing and spraying chemical mixtures on infested areas.
Work Environment
The work environment for this role will be non-smoking, with confined spaces, dangerous conditions, odours, and dusty areas. You will also be required to work at heights.
Work Setting
The work setting for this role will be in a rural area, with on-site customer service and various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation
- Determine the type of treatment required
- Prepare and spray chemical mixtures on infested areas
- Place and set traps to capture and remove animals
- Install animal control barriers to keep animals off property
- Clean out areas that harbour pests
- Advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation
Equipment and Machinery Experience
As a Pest Control Specialist, you will be required to have experience with animal traps, electrical sprayers, mechanical sprayers, and netting devices.
Security and Safety
You will be required to undergo a criminal record check and a driver's validity licence check.
Transportation/Travel Information
You will be required to have a valid driver's licence and be willing to travel. The employer will provide a vehicle and pay for travel expenses.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
The work conditions for this role will be physically demanding, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will also be required to have attention to detail.
