Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planner to join our team at BMO. As a Financial Planner, you will be responsible for providing financial and investment planning advice to our customers, helping them achieve their financial goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs-based assessments to identify opportunities for growth and development
  • Implement business development strategies to acquire new business and expand existing relationships
  • Provide solutions and recommendations to customers based on their financial goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement relationship management plans to meet the needs of clients
  • Respond to customer investment requests and refer customers to partners where appropriate
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide expert advice to customers
Requirements
  • Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CFP designation preferred or one of the following: Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, Wealth Management Essentials (WME) + Financial Planning Supplement, Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC), Financial Planning I & II (FP I & II)
  • Canadian Securities Course - Licensed to sell mutual funds excluding QC or IQPF in Quebec
  • Advanced working knowledge of the financial industry
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience
  • Verbal and written communication skills - In-depth
  • Collaboration and team skills - In-depth
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth
  • Influence skills - In-depth
