Job DescriptionStructural Designer/Engineer - Energy DepartmentWe're seeking a highly skilled Structural Designer/Engineer to join our Energy department. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing structures and foundations for high voltage transmission and distribution stations, as well as civil works for existing high voltage distribution and transformer stations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing structures and foundations for high voltage transmission and distribution stations;
- Designing drawings from databases provided by the client;
- Designing civil works for existing high voltage distribution and transformer stations;
- Preparing and completing detailed drawings and drainage calculations;
- Developing and preparing engineering drawings from preliminary concepts and specifications;
- Preparing and developing turn radius simulations with software assistance;
- Estimating quantities of materials and lengths from Civil 3D software;
- Ensuring quality control before submitting drawings;
- Verifying drawings to ensure they conform to client specifications and data;
- Completing documentation and producing drawing sets;
- Managing and ordering drawings from customers;
- Maintaining input files and drawings issued.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A college degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in 115 kV / 230 kV substation design;
- Working experience in both civil and structural aspects of projects;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoTurn, Microsoft Office, and Revit;
- Working experience of 3D modeling;
- Knowledge of surveying data;
- Attention to detail through production of highly detailed and accurate drawings;
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and drafters in multidisciplinary projects;
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills;
- Sense of initiative;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
