Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Aspiring Academics Preschool Inc. is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked and organized classroom.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of the job.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
